a) The election of members of the Council shall take place during the Annual General Meeting;
b) Members standing for election must signify their intention not less than five days before the date fixed for the Annual General Meeting;
c) The first eight members recording the highest number of votes shall be elected;
d) Whenever necessary a by-election will be held;
e) Ballot papers shall be signed by two electoral commissioners;
f) The defacement of unauthorised marking of ballot papers shall render them invalid;
g) Vacancies occurring during the year shall be filled by that candidate polling the next highest number of voted to the last elected member. Should a tie occur between two or more candidates, the Council shall, in this instance, select one of these candidates for automatic co-option to the Council;
h) The decision of the Electoral Commission in settling any difficulties arising during the election shall be final;
i) The Electoral Commission shall be solely responsible for the manner in which the election is conducted and shall effect the counting of votes and communicate the results.
